I graduated in May 2007 with two bachelors degrees in journalism and sociology/pre social work from The College of New Jersey.   My first children's book, Michael's New Neighbor, has just been released by Guardian Angel Publishing and is available on amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, borders.com, target.com, and of course, guardianangelpublishing.com. Available in print and as an e-book, this is an excellent story for parents to read with their children ages 5-9.  Children are able to learn an important lesson in friendship in a story they can relate to.

In the fall of 2008, I will be traveling the United States volunteering for a year with Americorps NCCC.  Afterward, I plan to continue working in a nonprofit and maybe fit in some graduate classes!

My first children's book, Michael's New Neighbor, was inspired by my family.  It is the story of a boy named Michael whose best friend moves away.  Already upset, Michael goes with his mother to meet the new neighbors, who happens to be  a girl just his age.  As the story progresses, Michael learns an important lesson in building friendships.
